Leading the clean energy transition with the Sustainable Energy Planning Toolbox. The COMPOSE PLUS project is launched!!

COMPOSE PLUS key objective is to increase the capacity of local communities for efficient planning and implementation of Renewable Energy Sources (RES) and Energy Efficiency (EE) measures as a development opportunity within the EU Green Deal. The project consortium works on transferring, mainstreaming, and broader uptake of the COMPOSE TOOLBOX (https://reselplan-toolbox.eu), which was developed by the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Systems Lab of the Technical University of Crete withi the frame of the COMPOSE Interreg MED programme (2016–19).

During its lifetime, the project will capitalize on the successful implementation of the COMPOSE model for sustainable development planning, demonstrating its practical use with a focus on co-creation bottom-up approaches and new business models and by combining social and technical innovation. It will support policymakers and development planners to mature projects towards clean energy transition, focusing especially on rural and island communities of the MED area.

COMPOSE and COMPOSE PLUS projects are co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the umbrella of the Ιnterreg MED programme.
